Specimen Requirements
Container/Tube: 24-hour urine container supplied. No preservative.
Specimen: Entire 24-hour urine collection
Collection Instructions: Refrigerate specimen during collection.
Note: 1. Starting and ending times of collection are required on request form for processing.
2. Follow instructions in “Urine Collections” in “Special Instructions.”
3. Label container with patient’s full name and 1 additional unique patient identifier such as date of birth, medical record number, emergency ID number, or financial number. Date and time of collection, collector’s initials, and type of specimen are also required.
