Methodology

  1. Enzyme Multiplied Immunoassay Technique (EMIT®II) screens for the following drug classes: amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine, methadone, and tetrahydrocannabinol.
  2. Homogenous enzyme immunoassay: Fentanyl

Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube:  Urine container
Specimen:  20 mL from a random urine collection. No preservative.
Collection Instructions:

Note:  Label container with patient’s full name and 1 additional unique patient identifier such as date of birth, medical record number, emergency ID number, date and time of collection, collector’s initials, and type of specimen.
