Specimen Requirements

Specimen must be delivered to laboratory immediately after draw.

Container/Tube:  3.0-mL lavender-top (EDTA) tube
Specimen:  Full tube - (minimum volume:  2.5 mL)
Transport Temperature:  Ambient - Do not place on wet ice or refrigerate.
Collection Instructions:

Note:  Label tube with patient’s full name and 1 additional unique patient identifier such as: date of birth or medical record number, date and time of draw, collector’s initials, and type of specimen.
